I have known Nancy for four years and highly recommend her services. My son got the privilege to have her as his counselor, for three out of the four years he was in high school, and we really miss the fourth! She is patient and kind and will find just the right programs that will work for you and your child.

The Therapy Process

Therapy provides the individual with the safety and opportunity to explore the self, which leads to change. There is no set formula. The process is based on a relationship between therapist and client of trust, honesty and exploration.

After we have agreed to work together, my first job is to gather information about your background as well as the concerns and questions that brought you to explore therapy. If you choose to use health insurance, I will need this information to identify a diagnosis. Together we will collaborate on a plan for your therapy, a process that is as individual as each person and family.

Finding new ways to deal with life’s challenges happens gradually through paying attention with an open mind.  Instant epiphanies only happen in the movies. Therapy requires a willingness to show up, be honest, and make changes. Sometimes people feel worse before they feel better. The path to a more authentic self is not always easy, but it is worth the effort.

Getting in Touch

Finding the right therapist requires research, referral, and intuition.

If you think I might be the right therapist for you or for your child, please give me a call at 603-731-3904. I offer a free initial phone consultation so you can tell me what you need and together we can explore whether we are a good fit for each other.

Nancy Sheridan and I worked together for four years in a high school where she was the special education counselor. I was always impressed with her natural ability to connect with the students that she counseled, their parents, our school staff and people in general. She is a skilled and creative counselor and social worker who successfully uses a wide variety of techniques to meet her clients where they are in their personal journeys. Nancy's enthusiasm and expertise is especially evident in her work with teens on the autism spectrum. She really "gets them" and they respond to this in the most positive way. She has done some amazing work with this population including starting and facilitating a weekly group and organizing and helping to launch a school wide autism awareness week. Nancy has taught me so much and has helped me in my work immensely.
